9th-12th Grade

Faith is a real thing.  Our role with students is to help them imagine and realize God's purpose for their lives.  We will do this through Bible study, exploring our faith traditions and asking difficult questions, and providing many service opportunities, camps and mission trips.

Mission Trip to Pawhuska, Oklahoma   June 21-June 26

Our High School youth group (completed grades 8-11) will be going to the small town of Pawhuska, Oklahoma. This is the tribal headquarters of the Osage Nation and Youthworks partners with local pastors and community leaders to determine how we can best serve this unique community.  Service opportunities in Pawhuska include painting and minor work projects, assisting the town’s soup kitchen and food pantry, and supporting summer kid’s programs. In the evenings you’ll have the opportunity to go on a tour of the town with a community member, visit historical museums, worship at a local church service, and host a community cookout. The registration fee is $359.00 plus cost of van rental and travel costs of $150-200.00.  Budget for a total of $559.00.  Please submit your $100 deposit by January 15  to Amanda. Please contact Amanda at amanda@sjlcl.org with any questions regarding the trip.
