Infant and Toddler Ministry
At St, John's, we love babies! Our role is to walk beside parents and caregivers in faith and to help their little ones know that they are loved by God and their church.
First time worshiping with us? Please ask the ushers for a new member card so we can get you connected and give you any resources that you may need.
Baptisms? Please click [here] to fill out a baptism inquiry form. Pastor Kim Kyllo or Pastor Andrew Smith will be happy to follow up with you about this faith milestone.
Nursery? Children are welcome in worship; in fact, we encourage families to worship together! But we also understand the wiggles and squirms of little ones who need to play. Our nursery is open and available for use.
Toddlers! Holy Toddlers! is a new ministry of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Lakeville, to equip parents for nurturing their children in faith, as promised at baptism, by providing families with:
A faith + learning resource that is Geared toward the developmental stage of their child
Information about why this resource is particular to the developmental stage of the child
Suggestions for how to use the resource for faith + learning
Research has shown that:
Reading with a parent - early, often, and with repetition, and
Connection with parents
Are key to a child’s development during the infant and toddler years. With this in mind, setting the framework for early faith development follows these key principles as well. Holy Toddlers! will provide parents and toddlers with play, reading, and connection-based tools to grow in faith together, in order to introduce toddlers to the Biblical story, nurture an early prayer habit, and acquaint them with the long faith tradition of music.
Meeting time: This class will meet the 1st and 3rd Sundays during the education year 9:30-10:00am with Pastor Kim Kyllo and Amanda Boe, CYF director.
