Amy Tann Erlandson is the Director of Children’s Music at St. John’s, where she directs the Grace Singers (grade 3-6), Praise Singers (grade 7-9), and the Firelight singers (3yr-4th grade). The Children’s Director of Music creates a loving and safe environment for young singers as they journey to discover their faith in music and become young leaders of the congregation while also learning the fundamentals of music.
Amy Erlandson is a native Minnesotan from Maplewood. She received her Bachelors of Music in Music Education at St. Olaf College in Northfield where she was a member of the St. Olaf Choir, the St. Olaf Chamber Singers, and St. Olaf’s nationally ranking Women’s Ultimate Frisbee team. Amy had a variety of music experiences working in the St. Olaf Music Organizations Office, St. Olaf’s Performance Ensemble Library, as well as directing the children’s choir at First UCC in Northfield.
Amy is currently student teaching in Minnetonka to complete her licensure in education. She will be singing in Magnum Chorum this season while playing Ultimate Frisbee in the Twin Cities.
